Argentina part 4

the 14th of october: Tango and milonga at night

sunday night I went out to see and dnce some tango in San Telmo. A danish girl, who lives in Ba and whom my host family knows plays the bandonion in the Tango orchestra, and I have to see her. Glad I did, because I met so many danish people there - it's the first group of danish people I have met in Argentina - they were here at a tango trip, where they have to take tango classes twice a day - wow! I think the basic steps in tango are easy, but the crosses are difficult.
this evening was so random and nice, because I also met a very famous danish writer called Carsten Jensen, which has written a novel called "Vi de druknede" and I have to act a play from at part of exactly that novel, what a coincidence!! :) Furthermore I also met some danish, australian and german girls, and they invited me to" La bomba la tiempo" the next day, which is a outdoor drumshow every monday, so I was glad I met them. This was a nice night out

the 15th of October: La Bomba de tiempo

Monday night I went out with the girls from yesterday at La Bomba de tiempo. It was so nice - nice music, drinks, and dance. :) afterwards we went to an afterparty at a bar with some guys, that we met.. It was such a funny bar experience, because there were clowns acting on the stage - wtf? clowns in a bar?? hahaha!
well, after that we went to an afterafterparty at a bar/club-ish and had fun the whole night. I think I was home like 3.30 pm. greeeat evening! :)

the clowns at the bar, sorry for the quality.. i'll blaime it on the alcohol

Argentina part 3

the 5th of October: Tigre

at friday I went to a part of the city called Tigre. I went there to see the beautiful river delta, and the weather was good, so I decided to go on a both trip around the river, which lasted one hour. It was so nice to finally sail again and the small islands were so pretty and there where funny, cute houses as well... :) a beautiful day

when I got of from the train I met this disgusting guy from Paraguay (I first realised that after a while), so we went down to the river together in my neighboorhood, but I think he loved my scandinavian look a little too much. omg. they all love the rubias (the blondes) here - it's SO annoying! so I just wanted to leave ASAP... and I did, and of course he followed me.. at least he had to leave at a place called Maipu (YES I thought!) and went quickly home...

unfortunately I only have pictures on my cellphone from that day, because of no battery on my camera, but they will come, when I come back to DK.

The 6th of October: Teatro Colón and Museo Malba

Saturday I wanted to be cultural, so first I went to this beautiful theater (Teatro Colón), where I had a guided tour in English with 4 Australians. The arcitecture is so beautiful - there is gold furniture everywhere (well just look at the pictures)

Afterwards I went to the Malba Museum with modern art of Latin America. Well I did not spent so much time there, but some of the art was pretty and funny.

I especially like this from the Malba Museum

the 7th of October: market and leaving to Mendoza

Sunday I went to the market in Sal Telmo with Ellen and bought a lot of stuff, and tasted choripan (chorizo sausage in a hotdog).. It was a rainy day, but it was ok, because we had to leave to mendoza by bus in the evening.. (14 hours in a bus, jesus.. at least we could sleep) (I don't have pictures from this day either)

the 8th of October: spontanious paragliding in Mendoza

We arrived about 9 a.m. so we took a taxi to our hostel. Omg, such a nice place, with all the colours etc. the check in time were first about 2 pm. so we got a city map and went down town. Unfortunately it was a holiday, so almost all shops were closed. But we found an open café and had breakfast there. We looked at the city map about what to do in mendoza, and found out that they among other things offered paragliding that day. i had always wanted to try paragliding, so I decided to do it. I paid like 500 pesos for it - about 500 DKK, and it was all the money worth. It was such an amazing experience. You run out from the edge of a mountain with a guide, who controls the parachute and then you just fly - omg above the andes mountains - so beautiful!!!

Tuesday Ellen and me got picked up at the hostel, because we had to go by bus up in the andes mountains.. what to say: MAGNIFICIANT!! i have travelled a lot in my life, but I am just about to say that it is the most beautiful landscape I have ever seen... just look.. we also went and saw el puerto de Inca (the inca bridge). this has been my dream for so many years - to see the nature in south america - and finally it came true! <3

in the evening we went out with some guys we met at the hostel - a french woman and a guy from India - nice people, and well, the night was as well.. (lot of drunkness, haha :D )

the 10th of October: rapelling, hot springs and hiking with hangovers

When I woke up the morning my first thought was: Fuuuuuck! I had so many hangovers and I had only got like 4 hours a sleep, but we had to go on another tour 9 a.m. We where supposed to trek and rapel in the mountains. It was very.. hard, but beautiful, and the rapelling was great, as it always has been :D and I am proud ouf my self: I was not that afraid as last time I had to do it and I did 59 meters down all in all with hangovers!! :) the reward was the hot springs - such a nice place with hot thermal baths surrounded by the mountains. <3
when we came home I packed my stuff, so I was ready to leave. But before that I had a glass of redwine (it is good in Argentina) with Ellen, the Indian and an Australian guy and the Indian guy tried to read my hand. :) funny, funny..

Well, but i left Mendoza like 10 p.m. after some great and unforgetable days :D

the 11th of October: a chill day with a lot of American Football
I arrived at Retiro (the main station) at 12.30 pm, had a sandwich and went home to my neighboorhood, and just chilled a couple of hours. About 5 p.m I went out with Allan to see him practise with some boys as coach in American football. It was quite cold in the park so I went for running (you should be proud!;) ), and afterwards we went to another park, where he had to practise with his own team to prepare for their game at Saturday.. And when we went home, we watched some NFL - haha, who should ever have believed that I have watched that.. haha, but I did. :)

the 12th of October: another chill day -booked a trip, writing on my assignment

But now I think, I will go to bed so I can be fresh for tomorrow. :)
